The marginal ridges are the curved elevations found along the occlusal surface of the maxillary first premolar tooth. They consist of:
- A mesial marginal ridge, which extends lingually from the mesial end of the buccal cusp to the mesial end of the lingual cusp.
- A distal marginal ridge, which extends lingually from the distal end of the buccal cusp to the distal end of the lingual cusp.
