Description

The mastoid angle (posteroinferior angle) of parietal bone is the area of the bone where its occipital and squamosal borders meet. It is located at the pterion and is one of the four angles of the parietal bone, the other three being the frontal, occipital and sphenoidal angles.

The superior portion of the groove for sigmoid sinus is found along the internal surface of the mastoid angle of parietal bone.
