Description

The orbital surfaces (inferior surfaces) are the two smooth, concave areas found along the outer aspects of each orbital part of frontal bone. On its corresponding side, each orbital surface:

—consists of a fossa for lacrimal gland and a trochlear fovea;

—provides an attachment site for the trochlea of a superior oblique muscle;

—contributes to the formation of the roof of an orbit.
