Description

The parietal border (parietal margin or superior border) is the serrated, superiorly located margin of the mastoid part of temporal bone. It is one of the two borders of the mastoid part of temporal bone, the other being the occipital border.

The parietal border:

—extends posteriorly from the parietal border of the squamous part to the occipital border of the mastoid part of temporal bone;

—articulates with the mastoid angle of the parietal bone, forming the parietomastoid suture.
