Description

The parietal eminence (parietal tuber, or parietal tuberosity) is the prominent, centrally located area on the external surface of the parietal bone. It is the area of the parietal bone where its convexity is at its maximum. In some individuals, the distance between the parietal eminences of the right and left parietal bones represents the maximum width of the cranium.
