Description

The scalene tubercle (tubercle of anterior scalene muscle or Lisfranc’s Tubercle) is a small raised eminence located on the middle part of the superior surface of the first rib. It is lies between the grooves for the subclavian artery and vein.

The scalene tubercle provides the insertion site for the scalenus anterior muscle.
