Description

The second coccygeal vertebra (Co2) lies inferior to, and is smaller than, the first coccygeal vertebra. It sometimes presents traces of transverse processes. However, it has no spinous process, pedicles or laminae.

The second coccygeal vertebra fuses with the first coccygeal vertebra superiorly, and with the third coccygeal vertebra inferiorly.
