Description

The squamosal margins (squamosal borders, squamous margins, or squamous borders) are the curved, beveled borders found along the posterolateral aspects of both the right and left greater wings of the sphenoid bone. On its corresponding side, each squamosal margin articulates with the sphenoidal border of a squamous part of temporal bone, forming a sphenosquamous suture.
