Description

The superior angle is the area of the squamous part of occipital bone where its right and left lambdoid borders meet. It is pointed in appearance and is located at the lambda.

The posterior portion of the groove for the superior sagittal sinus is found along the internal surface of the superior angle of occipital bone.
