Description

The superior border is the thick, irregular upper margin of the manubrium of the sternum. It is one of the four borders of the manubrium of the sternum, the other three being the inferior border and the two lateral borders. It contains a medially located jugular notch, which is located between two laterally located clavicular notches.

The superior border of manubrium of the sternum provides an attachment site for the interclavicular ligament.
