Description

The superior temporal line is a curved ridge found along the external surface of the parietal bone. It is located superior to the inferior temporal line and runs parallel to it.

The superior temporal line is the posterosuperior continuation of the temporal line of the frontal bone. It extends posteriorly from the frontal border of the parietal bone and then curves in a posteroinferior direction towards the mastoid angle. It provides an attachment site for the temporal fascia.
