Description

The third coccygeal vertebra (Co3) is the oval-shaped bone that lies inferior to, and is smaller than, the second coccygeal vertebra. It has no transverse processes, spinous processes, pedicles or laminae.

The third coccygeal vertebra fuses with the second coccygeal vertebra superiorly, and with the fourth coccygeal vertebra inferiorly.
