Description

The zygomatic processes are the two short, thick, posteroinferior projections found along the anterolateral aspects of the frontal bone. On its corresponding side, each zygomatic process of frontal bone:

—is located posterolateral to an orbit and anterior to a temporal fossa;

—consists of the portion of a temporal line of frontal bone;

—provides an attachment site for the temporal fascia;

—articulates with a frontal process of zygomatic bone, forming a frontozygomatic suture.
