The crura of the clitoris extend from the root of the clitoris and consist of erectile tissue.

They are located in the superficial perineal pouch and attach directly to the perineal membrane and the ischiopubic rami. The crura are covered by the ischiocavernosus muscles.
Function
The crus of clitoris helps to keep the clitoris in place and becomes swollen with blood during sexual arousal.
