Key Features/Anatomical Relations

The epoophoron sits between the ovary and the uterine tube in the lateral aspect of the mesosalpinx as well as the mesovarium and contains the vasculature supply to the uterine tubes.

Function

It is a vestigial structure in females, but it is the homologue to the efferent ductules of the epididymis in the male.
