Key Features/Anatomical Relations
The glans is at the end of the body of the clitoris and is connected directly to the paired bulbs of the vestibule through small bands of erectile tissue. The glans of the clitoris is equivalent to the glans of the penis.
Function
The glans of clitoris has the highest aggregation of sensory nerve endings, thus stimulation of this region of the clitoris is important for sexual arousal.
