Dr. Durgesh Kumar Tripathi is an Assistant Professor at Amity Institute of Organic Agriculture, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, India. Dr. Tripathi received his MSc from D D U Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur and has received his D. Phil in Science from University of Allahabad, India.

He is the recipient of ‘Dr. DS Kothari Post-Doctoral Fellowship’ of the UGC, New Delhi and has completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship tenure from Centre of Advanced Study in Botany, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. Dr. Tripathi has worked extensively on heavy metals and toxic nanoparticles detoxification and has elaborated tolerance mechanisms in plants, helping to improve crop productivity. In a nut shell, his research interests lies in crop stress physiology including plant nutrition, NO, ROS & H2S signalling, phytohormonal cross talk, plant anatomy and root biology. He has published more than 100 research and review paper(s) in journals of international repute and has edited more than 9 books with renowned international publishers. Dr. Tripathi is the recipient of several national and international awards, including Tony B Academic travel award, Washington DC, USA. He is the life member of various national and international scientific societies such as the Indian Science Congress Association, India; International Society for Silicon in Agriculture and Related Disciplines (ISSAG), and International Society of Root Research (ISRR) etc.
