Hongbin Cao is a professor at the Institute of Process Engineering of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), director of the Chemistry & Chemical Engineering Data Center of CAS, and director of the Beijing Process Pollution Control Engineering and Technology Research Center. His research efforts are concentrated on pollution control and carbon reduction technology and its application in industry.He has published more than 300 SCI papers, 7 books and 142 authorized invention patents. He was supported by the National Fund for Distinguished Youth in 2014, selected as the talent of "Ten thousand Plan" Scientific and Technological Innovation in 2013, won Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award in 2016, and the National Innovation and Pioneering Award in 2023.
