Naomi Oppenheimer

Tel Aviv University, Israel

Naomi Oppenheimer completed her PhD at Tel Aviv University, with subsequent postdoctoral research at the University of Chicago, Princeton, and the Flatiron Institute. Her work explores complex fluids, soft matter physics, and biologically inspired physical systems, employing a combination of theoretical tools, numerical simulations, and occasional experimental approaches. Naomi’s research delves into dynamic self-assembly in non-equilibrium systems, including rotating particles and microswimmers, as well as investigating hydrodynamic correlations among membrane-bound proteins, hydroelastic interactions near membranes, and the effective viscosity of a hot colloidal suspension.
