Alessandra Pinna is Senior Future Fellow at University of Surrey, Honorary Senior Fellow at Imperial College London and Visiting Research at Francis Crick Institute, specialised in inorganic nanoparticles for brain diseases and has >15 years’ research experience in drug delivery systems. She developed interdisciplinary research ideas in a wide range of inorganic nanoparticles and demonstrated world leading competence in nanomedicine. Recently, she described nanostars suitability for intravascular delivery in the brain. She won the 2021 June Wilson Award and was Finalist of STEM for Britain 2022 (Parliamentary & Scientific Committee). She is publicity officer of London Materials Society and Editorial board member of the Discover Materials journal.
