Alexandra Alicke

Dr. Alexandra Alicke earned her B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in Brazil. In 2021, she completed her Ph.D. in Materials Science at ETH Zürich under the supervision of Professor Jan Vermant. She joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Netherlands as an Assistant Professor in September 2022. Dr. Alicke’s research focuses on experimentally investigating the flow behavior of soft materials and its relation to microstructural changes, as well as the design and characterization of complex fluid-fluid interfaces.
