Deadline for submission of abstracts: 7 November 2025
Abstracts are invited for talks and posters on the below themes.
Genomic and Epigenetic Innovations in Insect Science Advances in genome sequencing, annotation, functional genomics, and epigenetic regulation of insect development and adaptation.
RNA Interference, Gene Editing, and Synthetic Biology in Insects Mechanisms and applications of RNAi, CRISPR-Cas9, and synthetic biology for functional studies, pest control, and biotechnological innovations.
Insect Chitin Biology and Structural Integrity Molecular mechanisms governing chitin biosynthesis, modification, and degradation, with a focus on its role in exoskeletal formation and physical adaptations in insects.
Regulatory Networks in Insect Growth, Development, and Physiology The role of hormonal signaling, gene networks, and environmental cues in insect development, metamorphosis, reproduction, and metabolic regulation.
Insect Neurobiology, Learning, and Behavior Molecular underpinnings of sensory perception, learning, social behavior, and neural plasticity in insects.
Insect Microbiomes, Symbiosis, Immunity, and Vector Competence The influence of microbial communities on insect physiology, insect’s ability to defend against pathogens, and vector-pathogen interactions.
Insect-Plant Molecular Interactions and Herbivory The molecular foundations of plant-insect herbivory interactions, plant defense mechanisms, and co-evolutionary dynamics.
Molecular Insights into Insecticide Resistance and Sustainable Management Genetic and biochemical mechanisms of resistance, evolutionary dynamics, and novel strategies for sustainable control of insect pests in the context of climate change.
Emerging Technologies and Applications in Molecular Entomology New molecular tools, biotechnological applications, and innovative approaches for insect management and conservation.
Guidelines for authors
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Committee to ensure that the topic of the submission is consistent with the scope of the topics covered at the meeting.
Once the abstracts are accepted, at least one of the authors must register for and present at the conference.
If, after the review by the committee, you have more than one paper accepted for the conference, you will need to register to attend, and pay an additional paper fee for each additional paper (i.e., for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th papers – not the 1st). Please note this is for papers that you are the presenting author of, not papers that you are co-author of.
Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt including an abstract reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence. Allow at least 2 hours for your receipt to be returned to you.
For revisions or queries regarding papers already submitted:
If you do not receive acknowledgement for your abstract submission or you wish to make any essential revisions to an abstract already submitted, please do not resubmit your abstract, as this may lead to duplication. Please contact the Conference Content Executive with details of any revisions or queries. Please quote your reference number if you have one.
Please do not email credit card information under any circumstances.
