September 20, 2023
Please briefly describe who you are and your role?
I’m Adda Sanchez Durazo, a doctor specialising in Plastic Surgery. I did my residency at IMSS Hospital of Traumatology and Orthopedics “Dr. Victorio de la Fuente Narváez” in Mexico, an important trauma centre in Latin America. My residency included rotations in different areas, treating congenital malformations in children, sequelae from tumour resections, aesthetic surgery, among others. As of today, my practice is mainly focuses on cosmetic surgery, specifically in patients with extra skin due to weight loss.
What problems were you attempting to solve when you started using ClinicalKey?
Since I have been exposed to a wide variety of scenarios in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, it is difficult to find a wide range of information in one place that it is current and evidence-based. Likewise, being in different hospitals makes it difficult to find this information physically at the library or to be able to access it quickly.
From your point of view, what are the biggest benefits you found in using ClinicalKey in your day to day routine?
The references I find in ClinicalKey are current, easily accessible from wherever I am, I can even access through my cell phone. Information is well organized and it comes from reliable sources. I love that I can access a complete chapter or even books on almost every topic I have searched.
What’s the primary reason you would recommend ClinicalKey?
ClinicalKey has been part of my medical career and indirectly it has been part of the success, health and wellbeing of many patients.
Is it important in your daily clinical activity to have access to diagnostic support tools?
I have used ClinicalKey often when preparing articles, lectures, or when looking for different therapeutic options, not only regarding surgery but the different approaches the patient needs in order to be treated.
